During today’s Pokémon Presents livestream, a short new teaser trailer of Aardman’s Pokémon stop-motion animated series was revealed. The series is titled Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d and Pichu and will be released sometime in 2027.
The trailer spotlights the Galar region Pokémon Wooloo and Sirfetch’d, who were introduced in the Pokémon Sword/Shield games, as well as a cameo appearance from Pichu.
Peter Lord, Aardman co-founder and creative director, stated that the animated series will “give a unique look at the Pokémon world, told from the perspective of Pokémon.”
A stop-motion Netflix series titled Pokémon Concierge was released on December 28, 2023. Four more new episodes of the series are slated to premiere on Netflix starting September 4, 2025.
Studio Colorido also previously worked on the short 8-episode web series Pokémon: Twilight Wings and another 8-episode web series titled Pokétoon.
Netflix also began streaming the second season of Pokémon Horizons: The Series, titled Pokémon Horizons: The Series—The Search for Laqua, on February 7, 2025. The series recently released its 100th episode this past June. The series’ third part began streaming on the service on June 27, 2025.
The first season of Pokémon Horizons debuted in the U.S. on Netflix on March 7, 2024. The second part began streaming on May 10, 2024, while the third part premiered on August 9, 2024. The fourth part began streaming on November 22, 2024 after first airing in Japan on October 11, 2024.
