The Pokémon Company International and British stop-motion animation studio Aardman have announced a special project that will be released in 2027. The collaboration will see Aardman bringing their unique style of storytelling to the Pokémon universe. More information on the collaboration will be shared in the future.
Both companies released a short teaser video on its socials in commemoration of the announcement.

The Pokémon franchise previously released the stop-motion Netflix series Pokémon Concierge on December 28, 2023. Studio Colorido also previously worked on the short 8-episode web series Pokémon: Twilight Wings and another 8-episode web series titled Pokétoon.
Netflix will stream the second season of the Pokémon Horizons: The Series, titled Pokémon Horizons: The Series—The Search for Laqua, on February 7, 2025. The first season debuted in the U.S on Netflix on March 7, 2024. The second part began streaming on May 10, 2024, while The third part premiered on August 9, 2024. The fourth part began streaming on November 22, 2024 after first airing in Japan on October 11, 2024.
Aardman previously contributed the episode “I Am Your Mother” for the second volume of the Star Wars: Visions anime anthology series.
