A key visual and short teaser trailer have been unveiled for WIT Studio’s upcoming Candy Caries stop-motion TV anime, which will begin broadcasting in Japan in April 2026.
Tomoki Misato, who previously directed the first season of the Pui Pui Molcar anime series, will direct the Candy Caries anime at the TORUKU from WIT STUDIO stop-motion animation studio. Misato and WIT Studio are also credited with the original work.
Candy Caries received an original promotional video in 2021 after the launch of TORUKU in December 2020. Misato directed the promotional video, with Kenta Yamada (The Girl from the Other Side 2019 line producer) as animation producer. Masaaki Tanaka (Attack on Titan Season 3 animation director) was in charge of the 2D animation and Yutaka Yamada (Vinland Saga) handled the video’s music.
