Google Play Japan Launches WIT STUDIO-Produced Anime Commercial Series featured image

Google Play Japan has started to release a series of short anime commercials produced by WIT STUDIO, titled Google Play de Chou Musou!? Tenseishitara Android User datta. Two episodes are out at the time of writing, with the first being released on June 14 JST.

The premise of the commercials involves the protagonist reincarnating into Google Play World, where he is the owner of an Android smartphone and will go through experiences that will supposedly make gamers envious. 

Yasuhiro Akamatsu (Seraph of the End co-compositing director, Moonrise Episode 12 director) is the director of the commercial series, which have character designs from KURO. Masaaki Yuasa (director of Inu-OhDevilman CrybabyKeep Your Hands Off Eizouken!Ping-Pong the Animation) has a visual concept cooperation credit.

The current two episodes have Yuasa’s storyboards and Akamatsu’s unit direction.

The cast members for Google Play de Chou Musou!? Tenseishitara Android User datta. include Daiki Yamashita and Shiori Izawa. It uses Eve‘s “Insomnia” as its theme song.
