Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider Reveals New Key Visual, Trailer & Additional Cast featured image

A new key visual, trailer, and four additional cast members have been revealed for the upcoming Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider TV anime series at this year’s Aniplex Online Fest. The anime will begin broadcasting in Japan on October 4, 2025 and will stream on Crunchyroll worldwide.

The additional new voice cast includes Satoshi Tsuruoka as Satoshi Ito, Fukushi Ochiai as Fukushi Ishige, and Daisuke Sakaguchi as Daisuke Sato.

In addition, Kenjiro Tsuda will voice Hachiro Nakao, and is also featured in a newly released cast comment video.

The new cast joins a previously announced voice cast that includes: 

  • • Katsuyuki Konishi as Tanzaburo Tojima
  • • Ai Kayano as Yuriko Okada
  • • Kenichi Suzumura as Ichiyo Shimamura
  • • Soma Saito as Mitsuha Shimamura
  • • Fairouz Ai as Yukarisu

Takahiro Ikezoe (SHOW BY ROCK!!) is directing the anime series, with Toko Machida (7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy!) as series screenwriter, Cindy H. Yamauchi (Divine Gate) as character designer, and TeddyLoid (Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt) as music composer. LIDENFILMS is in charge of the animation production. 

Additional staff include Yoshihiro Ujiie (The Water Magician) as prop designer, Ishigaki Pro’s Yukihiro Shibutani (TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You Seasons 1-2) and Ayano Aizu as art directors, and movwav’s Takayuki Yamaguchi (Steins;Gate 0) as sound director.

The anime is based on the tokusatsu manga series by Yokusaru Shibata. It was first published by Hero’s Inc.’s Monthly Hero’s magazine on May 1, 2018, before moving to the Comiplex website on November 27, 2020. Sixteen tankobon volumes have been released as of April 2025.

Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider follows the titular 40-year-old man, who gets caught up in a mugging incident involving a fake Shocker.
