A teaser trailer has been released for L’etoile de Paris en Fleur (Paris ni Saku L’etoile), the upcoming original anime film directed by Goro Taniguchi (ONE PIECE FILM RED, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;Surrection) and featuring character design drafts from Katsuya Kondo (Kiki’s Delivery Service, Ocean Waves).
The preview introduces us to the central characters Fujiko and Chizuru, the former an aspiring artist and the latter a person with an interest in ballet, as well as Fujiko’s part-time colleague Ruslan. And of course, there’s early 20th century Paris, the main setting of the story, brought to life for the movie under the background art direction of Yuji Kaneko (Tengoku Daimakyo).
Additionally, it was announced that Rina Arashi is voicing Chizuru, while Taichi Saotome is Ruslan.
L’etoile de Paris en Fleur‘s premise sees Fujiko and Chizuru first meeting in Yokohama before reuniting fatefully in Paris after five years. Knowing Chizuru’s dream, Fujiko asks Ruslan’s mother, a former ballerina from Russia, for lessons. At the same time, Fujiko’s guardian and uncle suddenly disappears one day.
The movie will premiere in Japan on March 13, 2026 JST.
