March 13, 2026 JST will see the release of L’etoile de Paris en Fleur (Paris ni Saku L’etoile), a new original anime film directed by Goro Taniguchi (ONE PIECE FILM RED, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;Surrection) with character design drafts from Katsuya Kondo (Kiki’s Delivery Service, Ocean Waves). A teaser visual illustrated by Kondo provides a taste of the upcoming project.
Ami Toma is voicing protagonist Fujiko, a girl who dreams of becoming an artist. Another central character is Chizuru, who is drawn to ballet. The premise involves the two first meeting in Yokohama, then reuniting fatefully in Paris. The story is set in the early 20th century.
Aside from Taniguchi and Kondo, the staff credits include names like:

Taniguchi’s previous anime film was Bloody Escape: Bats out of Hell, where he was also credited for the script and original idea. He also served as creative producer for the Enter The Garden anthology from web3 brand Azuki and Dentsu.
