The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes TV anime is set to return in 2026 with a second season, the streaming of which Crunchyroll has already confirmed. A teaser trailer and teaser visual for the sequel have been released.
The first season of the anime premiered on April 7 JST and premiered its 13th and final episode on June 30 JST. The anime is based on the Shueisha-published manga drawn by Betten Court and written by Hideyuki Furuhashi, which is a spin-off of Kohei Horikoshi‘s My Hero Academia. Viz Media describes the manga’s premise as:
Koichi Haimawari couldn’t make the cut to become an official hero, so he uses his modest Quirk to do good deeds in his spare time. Then one day a fateful encounter with some local thugs leads him to team up with two other unlikely heroes. None of them really know what they’re doing, but they’ve got the courage—or foolishness—to try. But they soon discover fighting evil takes more than just being brave…
The manga debuted in 2016 and concluded in 2022, with a one-shot being released in April 2025. The series has been collected into 15 volumes.
