A dramatic teaser trailer for My Hero Academia Final Season has been released.

The eighth My Hero Academia season is set for an October 2025 premiere; an exact date hasn’t been revealed, but episodes will first air on Saturdays at 5:30 PM JST.

My Hero Academia is based on the Weekly Shonen Jump manga by Kohei Horikoshi, which ran from 2014 to 2024. Viz Media describes the My Hero Academia manga as:

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny

The TV anime started in 2016, with Season 7 premiering in May 2024. There are also four anime movies, the latest being 2024’s My Hero Academia The Movie: You’re Next
