Crunchyroll has announced that it will screen two Given anime films in the U.S. for one-day-only on June 16, 2025 under the double feature title Given The Double Album: Hiiragi mix & To the Sea. It will only screen in Japanese with English subtitles.
The double feature consists of Given The Movie: Hiiragi Mix, which premiered in Japan on January 27, 2024, and Given The Movie: To the Sea, which premiered on September 20, 2024. Hiiragi Mix is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll, whereas To the Sea is screening in U.S. theaters a week before it will begin streaming on the service.
The two-part anime films served as a sequel to the Given 2019 TV anime series and the 2020 Given the Movie.
Noriko Hashimoto (Heroines Run the Show: The Unpopular Girl and the Secret Task) directed both Hiiragi Mix and To the Sea films, with Mina Osawa as character designer and Yuniko Ayana as scriptwriter. Lerche handled the animation production for both films, as it did with the 2020 film and TV anime series.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

The original Boys’ Love manga series by Natsuki Kizu was serialized in Shinshokan’s Chéri+ magazine from April 30, 2013 to March 30, 2023. Nine total tankobon volumes were released. VIZ Media releases the manga in English under its BL imprint, SuBLime.
The manga also inspired an epilogue spin-off titled Given 10th mix in 2024 and an audio drama in 2016.

Given The Movie: Hiiragi Mix
After Ritsuka Uenoyama hears Mafuyu Sato sing, he invites Mafuyu to join his band. Given auditions for a festival in Shibuya and falls short, though they continue to attract attention. At the same time, Mafuyu’s childhood friends, Shizusumi Yagi and Hiiragi Kashima, prepare to make their debut as the band “syh.” When they lose a guitarist, Hiiragi asks Ritsuka to join them for their big show.
Given The Movie: To the Sea
After a chance encounter with the singer Mafuyu Sato, Ritsuka Uenoyama’s passion for music was reignited. Their band, Given, is on the path to greatness just as Mafuyu begins to question if he should be the group’s singer. After declining Ritsuka’s invitation to a concert in Shibuya, Mafuyu runs into an old friend. Could this be the sign Mafuyu needs to step up to the microphone once more?
