The Given: Hiiragi Mix movie has received a main trailer and visual. The newly announced theme song, “Super Ultra I LOVE YOU” by Centimillimental is previewed in the former.

Given: Hiiragi Mix is the first of the two-part Given anime movie sequel. It is set to premiere in Japan on January 27.

The Given series premiered in 2019 and was followed by a one-hour movie in 2020.  It is inspired by the Shinshokan-published manga by Natsuki Kizu, which began serialization in Chéri+ in 2013 and has nine tankoubon volumes as of September 2023.

SuBLime describes the manga as:

Ritsuka Uenoyama is bored with it all—with school, with his basketball club, and even with his one true passion: playing guitar. That is, until the day he finds his favorite hidden napping spot occupied by a strange boy cradling a broken-stringed guitar. At first, Uenoyama is nonplussed by Mafuyu Sato and his slightly odd behavior, but when, on a whim, he asks Mafuyu to sing, the power of that song pierces him to the core.
