MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA has announced two exclusive special features for manga fans to commemorate the service’s fifth anniversary in operation.
The first feature is an exclusive, limited time anniversary subscription discount offer for the MANGA Plus MAX Deluxe Plan. Manga fans can now enjoy unlimited access to the Deluxe Plan for US$3.99 and access over 15,000 chapters from 190 works, which includes completed series. The offer also includes an ad-free reading experience.
As part of its anniversary celebration, MANGA Plus will also feature exclusive interviews with three manga editors. These interviews will be released over three days to give readers insights into the creative process and inspirations behind some manga series.
The interviews will be with the following editors:
Day 1: Yuuto Suzuki — Sakamoto Days
Day 2: Seijiro Nakaji — Kaiju No.8
Day 3: Takuro Imamura — Kagurabachi
Readers can access the Deluxe Plan discount offer and the exclusive editor interviews by visiting the MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA app or website between February 16, 2024 and March 31, 2024 in Japan standard time.
The MANGA Plus app service was first launched by Shueisha on January 28, 2019 and is operated directly by the publisher’s editorial department in Japan to further support its creators. It has featured many titles from Weekly Shonen Jump, as well as select series from Jump Square, Weekly Young Jump, Tonari no Young Jump, and V Jump.
Shueisha launched the MANGA Plus MAX subscription service with a standard and deluxe plan in October 2023.
MANGA Plus is available to access worldwide, except in Japan, China, and Korea. It can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices.
