Shueisha has announced the launch of a new subscription service based on its MANGA Plus mobile app called MANGA Plus MAX. The new service will allow for unlimited reading of manga titles in English and will be offered with two paid plans that can be purchased in the app.
The standard plan for MANGA Plus MAX includes 80 currently serialized manga series and access to more than 6,000 chapters. It will cost US$1.99 in the United States, France, Germany, Thailand, and Canada and US$0.99 in Indonesia, Philippines, and India.
Meanwhile, the deluxe plan offers unlimited access to over 15,000 chapters from 190 manga series, which includes access to completed series. It will cost US$4.99 in the United States, France, Germany, Thailand, and Canada and US$3.99 in Indonesia, Philippines, and India.
Both the standard and deluxe plans will also have no ads in the app. Prices and titles may vary by country or region.
For a limited time, there will also be a first month free trial for the standard plan available to new users.
The MANGA Plus mobile app was first launched by Shueisha on January 28, 2019 and is operated directly by the editorial department in Japan to directly support its creators. It has featured many titles from Weekly Shonen Jump, as well as select series from Jump Square, Weekly Young Jump, Tonari no Young Jump, and V Jump.
MANGA Plus is available worldwide, except in Japan, China, and Korea. It can be downloaded on iOS and Android devices. More details will be released on the app’s updates page at a later date.
