The Dangers in My Heart Season 3 is set to begin airing in April 2027. A teaser trailer and teaser visual were also revealed with the anime’s broadcast start window.
Like this year’s compilation movie, The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie, the new season of the Shin-Ei Animation-produced romantic-comedy has Hiroaki Akagi (director of Season 1 and 2) as chief director and Dali Chen as director.
The Dangers in My Heart is based on the Akita Shoten-published manga by Norio Sakurai. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the manga’s synopsis as such:
Quirky courtship awaits in this comedy nominated for the 2020 Manga Taisho Award!
Kyotaro Ichikawa, a boy barely clinging to the bottom rung of his school’s social ladder, secretly believes he’s the tortured lead in some psychological thriller. He spends his days dreaming up ways to disrupt his classmates’ peaceful lives and pining after Anna Yamada, the class idol. But Kyotaro’s not nearly the troubled teen he pretends to be…and it turns out Anna’s a bit odd herself!
The anime’s first season aired during the Spring 2023 anime season, while Season 2 aired during the Winter 2024 anime season. The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie, which featured re-edited sections and new, post-Season 2 scenes, was released in Japan on February 13, 2026. It received screenings in a number of international locations, including the United States, Germany, Italy, France, and Mexico.
The Dangers in My Heart manga started in 2018 in Weekly Shonen Champion. It was running on Champion Cross when it ended with its 199th chapter on September 15, 2026. The manga has inspired a light novel and a spin-off manga.
The The Dangers in My Heart Season 3 updates coincide with the November 6, 2026 release of the manga’s 14th and final volume.
