The Wound & Bandage (Kizuguchi to Hotai) TV anime adaptation has gotten a January 9 broadcast start date and a footage-less teaser trailer with the title “Love.” Its lead cast members were also revealed.
Hisako Kanemoto is playing Riyo, a yakuza boss’ daughter with a fetish for seeing strong people in a weakened state. Opposite her is Chikahiro Kobayashi as Kiritani, a yakuza captain who is assigned to take watch over Riyo.
Wound & Bandage is based on the manga by Umihoshi Nanai. It began serialization on Kodansha’s Comic DAYS on August 27, 2024 and has five volumes as of July 2026. The story was originally a one-shot.
