Square Enix‘s Manga UP! Global has added pirate-themed action-romance Lily of the High Seas (Shiosai no Lily) to its lineup.
The manga by Naru Seto sees two childhood friends reuniting on opposing sides, one a naval officer and the other a pirate. It originally debuted in the July 2025 issue of Monthly G Fantasy as Seto’s first serialized work and saw the release of its first volume in December 2025.
Here’s the synopsis:
Fifteen years ago, Alfred failed to protect his childhood friend from the hands of pirates. Consumed by regret, he dedicated his life to the sea and rose to the rank of a naval lieutenant. But one day when he boards a merchant vessel under siege by pirates, he finds himself crossing swords with the very childhood friend he swore to protect, Lilian. Thus begins a romance of misunderstanding between a straight-laced naval officer and a tomboy pirate!
