Toei Animation and Crunchyroll have announced that the Dragon Ball Super: Beerus TV anime series will stream on the latter’s service beginning October 11, 2026. The anime will also have its broadcast in Japan that same day.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus will stream with subtitles and be available on Crunchyroll in the United States, Canada, Latin America including Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
The late Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama is credited with the anime’s original work, story, and character designs. Matsuto Seya is in charge of the composition and direction arrangement and Tadayoshi Yamamuro with the animation character design and chief animation direction.
Meanwhile, the main voice cast is headlined by Masako Nozawa as Son Goku and Koichi Yamadera as Beerus.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is described as an “ENHANCED edition of the anime Dragon Ball Super” and billed as being “more faithful and detailed reproduction of the original work by Akira Toriyama” and featuring “extensive new cuts, revisions to existing scenes, a complete re-rendering of all footage, newly recorded dubbing with added score and sound effects, and a full reconstruction of the story.”
The original Dragon Ball Super TV anime series, whose God of Destruction Beerus Saga originated from the plot of the 2013 anime film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, aired from 2015 to 2018. Toriyama was credited with its story and original character designs.
The series was followed by the anime films Dragon Ball Super: Broly in 2018 and Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero in 2022. A new Dragon Ball Super anime subtitled THE GALACTIC PATROL was announced in January 2026.
A Dragon Ball Super manga series, written by Toriyama and drawn by Toyotarou, debuted in Shueisha’s V Jump magazine in June 2025. Twenty-four tankobon have been released as of April 2025. The original Dragon Ball manga was released in 1984.

Several years have passed since the fierce battle against Majin Buu, and Earth has finally regained a brief moment of peace. At the same time, Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens from his long, deep sleep. Even Kai and Supreme Kai, aware of Beerus’ overwhelming power to destroy entire planets, watch his awakening with great fear… Meanwhile, Beerus hears rumors of a Saiyan who defeated Frieza, and suddenly appears before Goku.
Targeted by Beerus, the strongest being in the universe, Earth is in grave danger. Thus begins an earth-shattering cosmic battle between the God of Destruction and Goku and his allies, a conflict that will shake the entire universe.
