A new key visual, second teaser trailer, and three main voice cast members have been revealed for the upcoming Hirayasumi TV anime series. The anime is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan in January 2027.
The new trailer showcases more of the anime’s lead characters in their relaxing neighborhood.
VIZ Media, which is co-producing the anime (in the non-animation production side) with Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions, also released an English-subtitled version of the trailer on its YouTube channel.
The three main voice cast members include Yuma Uchida as Hiroto Ikuta (left), Mayu Takahashi as Natsumi Kobayashi (center), and Rikako Aikawa as Hanae Wada (right).

Kei Suezawa (Fate/Grand Order THE MOVIE Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot Wandering; Agateram director) is serving as the anime’s director, series composer, and scriptwriter. Other staff include Naoyuki Asano (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!) as character designer, Mika Nishimura (Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction) as background art director, and Kaori Sawada as music composer. Production +h. is in charge of the animation production.
The original slice-of-life manga series by Keigo Shinzo began serialization in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits on April 26, 2021. Ten tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of April 2026.
A live-action series of the manga was also announced in July 2025, along with the TV anime adaptation. It was released between November 2025 to December 2025 and was streamed on Prime Video.

VIZ Media licensed the Hirayasumi manga for English release and describes the synopsis as:
After developing an unlikely friendship with the grouchy old woman who lives in his neighborhood, Hiroto suddenly finds himself inheriting not just her house but some rather difficult emotions as well. His 18-year-old cousin, Natsumi, moves in with him, but as a struggling art student, she has her own troubles to deal with and may just put Hiroto’s easygoing lifestyle to the test.
