The official X/Twitter account and website of the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime series has announced that its fourth season’s third cour will debut in July 2027 and the spinoff title That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Clayman’s Revenge is getting a TV anime adaptation.
A teaser visual and trailer for spinoff TV anime have also been unveiled, with the series scheduled to premiere in Japan in April 2027.
Additionally, Takehito Koyasu reprises his role as Clayman, having previously voiced the character in the main That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime.
Kentaro Sugimoto (BLUE LOCK Season 1 episode 8 director) will serve as the director of the Clayman’s Revenge anime series, with Yuji Haibara as series composer and Asumi Hashimoto (The Irregular at Magic High School Season 3 sub-character designer) and Hideki Sakai as character designers. Eight Bit is handling the animation production.
The spinoff manga is drawn by Wataru Kajika and began serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius on April 26, 2022. Nine tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of August 2026.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 4 began airing on April 3, 2026 and will consist of five total cours, with the first two being aired consecutively until September 25, 2026. The fourth season is streaming on platforms like Crunchyroll, the Muse Asia YouTube channel, and iQIYI.
Naokatsu Tsuda (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable, The Darwin Incident) is directing the anime’s fourth season, with Kenji Yasuda (Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens director) as assistant director, Atsushi Nakayama (Season 1 assistant director, Season 2 and Season 3 director) as supervisor, Hitomi Ogawa (new) as series composer, Ryoma Ebata as character designer, and Takahiro Kishida as monster designer. Eight Bit is in charge of the animation production.
Miho Okasaki voices the anime’s main protagonist Rimuru Tempest.
The isekai fantasy light novel series is written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. It was published by Micro Magazine from May 30, 2014 to November 29, 2025. Twenty-three total volumes were published in Japan. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro from February 2013 to January 2016. Yen Press licensed the light novels for English release.
A manga adaptation by Taiki Kawakami was launched in Monthly Shonen Sirius in March 2015 and is published in English by Kodansha USA, which has also released several of the series’ spinoff manga titles in English.
Aside from the TV anime series, the anime includes a spin-off titled The Slime Diaries, 2022’s That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Scarlet Bond, 2023’s Visions of Coleus three-episode OVA series, and 2026’s That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea.
Crunchyroll is streaming all entries of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime TV anime series in select countries and territories. It describes the premise as:
