New looks at fashion-themed anime Bless has arrived in the form of a teaser visual, drawn by character designer Honoka Yokoyama, and featuring the words “This runway is just for me” and character trailers for the leads. The voice actors for the main cast have also been revealed.
Tomohiro Ono is voicing Aia Udagawa, a former model and a first-year high school student. Meanwhile, Chiyuki Miura is Jun Sumisaki, Aia’s tall classmate who hides her freckles but dreams of becoming a model.
Bless is based on the manga by Yukino Sonoyama, with Kodansha USA describing the manga’s synopsis as such:
They said Aia was destined to be a model, and Jun was bullied for her freckles. Together, they will take back the power to define themselves in an inspirational fashion manga that asks cutting questions about what it really means to be beautiful—and what it takes to overcome an arbitrary system that seems to respect talent over hard work.
Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!‘s Shotaro Kitamura is directing the show at A-1 Pictures.
The manga began serialization in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge in 2022 and has eight volumes as of March 2026.
The anime begins airing in January 2027.
