The SSS-Class Revival Hunter web novel and manhwa series is receiving an anime adaptation that will premiere in January 2027. Crunchyroll will stream the anime series worldwide, excluding parts of Asia, with availability in the Indian subcontinent, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Malaysia.
A teaser trailer and key visual for the anime have also been released.
The trailer also confirms the main voice cast, which will star Takeo Otsuka as Gongja Kim and Satoshi Hino as the Sword Emperor.
The anime is directed by Hiroaki Sakurai (The Demon Girl Next Door, The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess), with Sayuri Oba (Me & Roboco, Romantic Killer) as scriptwriter and Takahiro Yoshimatsu (A Place Further Than the Universe, Bullet/Bullet) as character designer. STUDIO fu is in charge of the animation production.
The original web novel written by Sinnoa was first published in 2018. It is available to read in English digitally on Wuxiaworld.
A manhwa adaptation by Neida, with illustrations by Bill K, was launched on Kakaopage in December 2020. Ize Press releases the manhwa in English print and digital formats, while Tapas publishes it in English digitally.
Crunchyroll describes the synopsis of SSS-Class Revival Hunter as:
A mysterious tower crawling with monsters has suddenly appeared, drawing Hunters willing to risk their lives for glory and riches. Gongja Kim, a weak F-rank Hunter, spends his days envying the Flame Emperor who reigns as the top Hunter. But his chance at greatness finally arrives when he joins forces with the Sword Emperor and gains a rare S-rank skill, with one catch: he must die to activate it.
