A new trailer, main theme songs, and four more cast members have been revealed for the upcoming Uncle’s Obsession with Cute Things TV anime series. The anime will premiere in Japan on October 4, 2026.
The opening theme for the anime series is “LIKE³” by Japanese singer Yusei Yagi, which is also highlighted in the new trailer. Meanwhile, the ending theme is “Totoi♡Kaiwai” by voice actress Kaori Maeda.
Additionally, the anime’s website also announced four new voice cast members that include:
- • Kaori Maeda as Rio Shigeoka
- • Miharu Hanai as Mirai Usuma
- • Satoshi Niwa as Haruo Koba
- • Mie Sonozaki as Hoho Takebayashi
They join a voice cast that will star:
- • Kazuyuki Okitsu as Mitsutaka Oji
- • Miyu Tomita as Pugtaro
- • Fuka Izumi as Bosskichi
- • Yurie Funato as Anne
- • Asami Tano as Carrie
- • Hinata Sato as Greapy
- • Takuya Eguchi as Kenta Kawai
- • Yuki Kaji as Wataru Naruto
- • Ayumu Murase as Masumi Nii
Tomoe Makino (Aharen-san wa Hakarenai) is directing the anime series, with Yu Sato as series composer and scriptwriter and Yumi Kimura as character designer and chief animation director. LIDENFILMS is handling the animation production.
The manga series by Tsutomu began serialization on the Flex Comix’s COMIC Polaris website on July 6, 2017. Twelve tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of August 2026. It is known in Japanese as Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki or Ojikawa for short.
The manga also inspired a live-action Japanese TV drama series in 2020.
Crunchyroll will stream the Uncle’s Obsession with Cute Things anime in select countries and territories. It describes the premise as:
