Three new cast members have been announced for the upcoming Dark Machine the Animation TV anime series, which will premiere in Japan on October 13, 2026.
The newest cast members joining the anime include Nao Toyama as Aluk, Nonoka Obuchi as Denebola, and Rei Nakashima as Spica. The three characters are part of Team Stellatus in the series.
Meanwhile, the anime’s previously announced voice cast consists of:

Kazumi Terada is directing Dark Machine the Animation, with Goro Taniguchi (ONE PIECE FILM RED and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;Surrection director) as creative producer, Hidetaka Tenjin (Bullet/Bullet, Knights and Magic) as mechanical designer, and Ko Yoshinari (Made in Abyss creature designer, Botan Kamiina Fully Blossoms When Drunk character designer) as main character designer. Production +h is handling the animation production.
Team Carbuncle, which includes Takaaki Suzuki, Tatsuhiko Urahata, Ashio Ishino, and Kento Sata, are credited with the series composition and scripts for the anime.
Dark Machine the Animation is part of a mixed-media project with a Web3 mech game. It was first announced in July 2024 during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
An original Dark Machine game was also announced in 2023, with an “Early Access” start date beginning in 2024. The game is described as a “7 vs 7 team shooter featuring destructible mechs and maps situated against two parallel universes, The Light and The Dark,” and features NFTs and NFT staking (akin to an NFT version of fixed deposits). An official release date for the game has not yet been announced.
Dark Machine the Animation centers on the Dark Machine esports game, which has influenced and reshaped Japan’s society and economy. The main story focuses on Kairi, who goes to Golden Valley, an economic zone for Dark Machine, following his late grandfather’s last words. There, he meets Rudra, who is being chased by a group led by Dark Machine’s top player Ajima. After that encounter, Kairi gets involved with the game and joins in the battles to become its top player.
