A main trailer and key visual have been released for the upcoming new Sgt. Frog (Keroro Gunso/Sergeant Keroro) TV anime, Keroro Gunso☆. An October 3 broadcast start date, as well as the show’s staff and main alien cast, were also revealed.
Akihiko Sano (Farmagia) is directing the anime at BN PIctures under chief director Nobuhiko Kondo (director of the previous Sgt. Frog TV anime from Episode 104). Hatsue Nakayama is the character designer.
Meanwhile, the cast features:

• Kosuke Echigoya as Kururu
• Satoshi Inomata as Dororo
Keroro Gunso☆ is based on the KADOKAWA-published manga by Mine Yoshizaki. Viz Media describes the first volume of the manga, which began serialization in 1999 in Shonen Ace after a 1998 one-shot and has 35 volumes as of 2025, as such:
After Sgt. Keroro blew his cover and lost his top-secret weapon, the frog-like alien has been cut off from the homeworld. To make matters worse, he’s lost communications with the rest of his platoon. Now he has taken cover in the Hinata family household, where in exchange for doing his share of the chores, he gets his own room from which to secretly devise new plans of world domination!
The original Sgt. Frog TV anime began airing in 2004 and ran for 358 episodes across multiple seasons until 2011. A few movies were released between 2006 to 2010, with the last being SERGEANT KERORO: The Super Duper Movie -Adventure in Space-Time Island-. June 26, 2026 saw the release of a new movie, titled Shingekijoban☆Keroro Gunso Fukatsushite Sokko Chikyu Metsubo no Kiki de arimasu!
