A March 5, 2027 release date for the Gundam: Rogue Orbit action game has been revealed as part of PlayStation’s September State of Play. The announcement came with a new trailer and an overview going over elements like the weapon types and Tactical Skills, plus a skin for assuming the look of the RX-78-2 Gundam.

In July, the announcement of the post-apocalyptic Mobile Suit Gundam RG: XARX-ZERO anime also contained the reveal that both titles shared the same setting. Gundam: Rogue Orbit takes place in the year 135 of the After Apocalypse (A.A.) timeline, which sees a brief period of prosperity for mankind upended by an “aggressive, self-proliferating ecosystem” (the titular “Apocalypse”) that causes humanity to leave Earth, while the anime is set in A.A..45. The game’s player character is RE-X, who pilots the Gundam Helix and has a Haro companion named VII.

The Bandai Namco Studios Inc. title will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam.
