A new teaser visual for the upcoming Fungus and Iron TV anime has been revealed.
It was also announced that Keitaro Motonaga (The Beginning After the End, Date A Live Season 1 to 3, Katanagatari) is directing the show at Yokohama Animation Lab.
Fungus and Iron (Kin to Tetsu) is based on Ayaka Katayama‘s manga, which began serialization in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in March 2021 and has nine volumes as of April 2026. Kodansha USA’s synopsis of the manga reads:
Dante’s life on Amigasa seemed normal enough to him, even though everyone around him called him an oddball. But when a chance meeting with a young woman named Aoi changes everything, Dante can no longer sit idly by…unless, of course, he is made to!
