Three new voice cast members have been announced for the ongoing My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked TV anime series. The anime began broadcasting in Japan on July 8, 2026.
The new characters will debut in the show’s ninth episode and include Riho Sugiyama as Takiko Mizuse, Ai Kakuma as Homare Takanashi, and Minami Tsuda as Chiyo Mitsunaka.
They join the anime’s voice cast, which include:

- • Yuka Nukui as Arisa Konokura
- • Anna Mugiho as Gungnir

- • Yo Taichi as Riru Kazan
- • Hiroki Nanami as Sadame Mikuriya
- • Nao Toyama as Hachi Ura
Keisuke Inoue (My Next Life as a Villainess) is directing the anime series, with Nanami Hoshino as series composer and Mutsumi Sasaki (Yuru Camp Seasons 1, 2, and movie) as character designer. NEWON is handling the animation production.
REMOW licensed the anime for streaming in select territories on the It’s Anime YouTube channel and Prime Video. Rakuten Viki also streams the series in North America.
The historical comedy manga series by Otsuji began serialization on Ichijinsha’s Comic Pool website on November 19, 2020. Ten tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of August 2026. It is known in Japanese as Ibittekonai Gibo to Gishi.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the My Stepmother and Stepsisters Aren’t Wicked manga for English release, describing the series as:
Miya is the illegitimate child of a certain prominent family. When her mother dies, she’s convinced she knows what awaits her in her new home: a life of servitude and misery at the hands of her wicked stepmother and stepsisters! Yet when she finally meets the women she expects to treat her like dirt, they actually end up being…sweet?!
