NEXON revealed FAREIDOLIA as the official title of its upcoming character-driven lifestyle game, formerly titled Project RX, on August 24th. A playable demo of FAREIDOLIA will make its first appearance at the NEXON booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026, running from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
NEXON Games’ IO Division, the same team behind Blue Archive, is developing FAREIDOLIA, spearheaded by project director Cha Minseo. The game was first teased in October 2024 as Project RX and primarily centers on relaxed, everyday lifestyle gameplay, along with an engaging storyline and character interactions. As of the time of writing, an official release date for FAREIDOLIA has not been revealed yet.
A teaser visual was also revealed alongside the announcement, spotlighting Minieh, Ohana, and Shami trying to stay cool by staying indoors on a hot day.

The characters revealed so far include Minieh, a laid-back explorer driven by her passion for adventure; Ohana, an expressionless, light-blue-haired girl who is easily distracted by fun things but has an exceptional innate talent; Shami, a pink cat-eared idol fan who is perpetually short on money and prone to misfortune; and Elevator Girl, who operates the elevator at Tasogare Hall.

FAREIDOLIA is set in a place called Anima City, a fictional town where players will take on the role of overseeing the city’s Restoration Center and running Tasogare Hall. Along the way, players will also work with a group of girls known as “Mates,” each of whom possesses “unique abilities while resolving the various problems that arise around the city.”
Tokyo Game Show attendees will be able to step into a recreation of Tasogare Hall as part of the FAREIDOLIA zone at the NEXON booth. Attendees can also play rock-paper-scissors games against the characters, and upon visiting the booth and completing certain tasks, they can also receive a free A4 clear file, a cooling towel, a 15 cm pin, and a FAREIDOLIA sticker.
