LeftField Media, the organizers behind Anime NYC and Anime Frontier, formally announced the launch of KPEX: Korean Pop Culture Expo in New York at the Javits Convention Center. The first show is scheduled for May 29-31, 2027 and will feature K-Pop, K-Dramas, K-Comics, K-Games, K-Food, and K-Beauty.
The organizers will feature industry veterans including Greg Topalian (co-creator of New York Comic Con), Robert Khoo (co-creator of PAX), and Peter Tatara (co-creator of Anime NYC).
The event has secured support from Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), a governmental agency focusing on expanding K-Content worldwide, and Ize Press (from Yen Press), the US publisher of Korean comics and novels including Solo Leveling and Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint.
Ticket sales are scheduled to begin on September 18 at 12:00 PM EDT.
