Voice actor Yasuyuki Kase has been announced as the latest cast member addition for the upcoming Inherit the Winds original TV anime series. The anime will begin airing in Japan in January 2027.
Kase will voice Serizawa Kamo, the lead commander of the Mibu Roshigumi. He previously voiced Walther Lindstedt in Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture.
He joins a previously announced voice cast that includes:

- • Takeo Otsuka as Yamanami Keisuke
Tomohiro Kawamura (Air Bound) is directing the anime series, with Ebina Fumi as character designer. The story is inspired by the Tachikawa Jinsuke stage play series by Yutaka Narui, who is also in charge of writing the scripts for the series. The anime will be co-produced by Live2D Creative Studio and Drive.
A four-panel manga adaptation by Matsuri Muramatsu will also be published by Kodansha later this year.
Inherit the Winds was first announced at Aniplex Online Fest in September 2025. The anime takes place during the third year of the Bunkyu era at a time of unrest in Japan. It follows an amnesiac called Tachikawa Jinsuke, whose recollection of his memories has large consequences.
