The upcoming Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! TV anime has gotten its first main trailer, which shows off the titular student council and its chaotic side, and an October 3, 24:30 JST (effectively October 4 at 00:30 JST) broadcast start date.
Other new reveals include the opening song “Kaze no Naka wa Hashirukkyanai!” by Sangatsu No Phantasia (also previewed in the trailer) and additional staff credits. Among the latter are main animators Kay Yu, Kona Ming, Asatoshi Oki, mockingbird, Sanzashi Ame, and 虫几 (reading unknown).
Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! (Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru!, or There Is Also a Hole in the Student Organization!) is based on Muchimaro‘s 4-koma manga about a student council that’s a little weird. The TV anime was announced less than a year after an animated trailer for the manga was released In July 2024 (the manga trailer has over 4.7 million views at the time of writing, making it the Shonen Magazine YouTube channel’s most popular video).
The anime’s main staff includes director Naoyuki Tatsuwa (animated PV chief director, Nisekoi), series composer and scriptwriter Masahiro Yokotani (Re: ZERO series composer and co-scriptwriter), and character designer Ryo Imamura (Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! animated PV storyboard artist, unit director, character designer et al., Onimai character designer et al.). Passione is the animation production studio.

The Even the Student Council Has Its Holes! manga debuted in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2022 and has 13 volumes as of August 2026. It was the winner of the Next Manga Awards 2023’s print manga category. Seven Seas Entertainment describes the manga as such:
