The upcoming Dark Machine the Animation is scheduled to premiere in October of this year. Alongside the announcement, a new trailer and cast were also revealed.
The opening theme song, titled “Sonzai Riyuu Kai”, will be performed by the Japanese rock band BUCK∞TICK.
The new cast are as follows:

Nyudo and Hachiman are part of Team Carbuncul’s rival team, Great Cluster, while Biance and Weiss are part of Team Esmeralda.
Dark Machine the Animation is part of a mixed-media project with a Web3 mech game. It was first announced in July 2024 during their panel at San Diego Comic-Con. In the anime, Dark Machine is a popular esports game that influences and reshapes Japan’s society and economy. It follows Kairi, who goes to Golden Valley, an economic zone for Dark Machine, following his late grandfather’s last words. There, he meets Rudra, who is being chased by a group led by the Dark Machine top player Ajima. After that encounter, Kairi gets involved with Dark Machine and joins in the battles to be the top Dark Machine player.
The project also announced a Dark Machine game in 2023. No official release date for the game has been announced.
