Three new voice cast members have been revealed for the upcoming Eiga Meitantei Precure! Fushigi na Niwa to Futari no Himitsu (Star Detective Precure! the Movie: The Mysterious Garden and The Secret of the Two) anime film. It will premiere in Japan on September 18, 2026.
The newest cast members will play three original characters in the anime film, which include Koki Uchiyama as Rain (left), Akari Kito as Karen (center), and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Alan (right). They are also previewed in a short promotional video of the anime film.
Additionally, a still from the anime film featuring the original characters was released.
Characters from You and Idol Precure! and Wonderful Precure! will also appear in Eiga Meitantei Precure! Fushigi na Niwa to Futari no Himitsu.
Hanako Ueda (Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead assistant director) is directing the Star Detective Precure! anime film, with character designs from Emiko Miyamoto (Witchy Precure!) and a script written by Yoshimi Narita (Wonderful Precure! series composer). Toei Animation is handling the animation production, as it has for the TV anime series.
Eiga Meitantei Precure! Fushigi na Niwa to Futari no Himitsu centers on Karin and the fairies, Alan and Rain. The premise concerns an X-mark that renders objects immobile and a request from Rain to protect Karin, who resides in a mysterious garden, from a creature called “Dame dame.”
The Star Detective Precure! TV anime series began airing in Japan on February 1, 2026 as the 23rd entry of the Pretty Cure franchise (which began with 2004’s Futari wa Precure/Pretty Cure).
The TV series has Koji Kawasaki as series director with Isao Murayama (Mahotsukai Precure!) as series composer and Akane Yano (The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You) as character designer.
The main voice cast for the series includes Hikari Senga as Cure Answer/Anna Akechi, Kaede Hondo as Cure Mystic/Mikuru Kobayashi, and Nao Toyama as Cure Arcana Shadow/Ruruka Moria.
