The official X/Twitter account of the upcoming Kindergarten Wars TV anime series has announced the casting of Sumire Morohoshi as Una, who is a school teacher for the Violet class. The anime is set to premiere in Japan in Spring 2027.
Morohoshi previously played the dual voice roles of Sunao Aikawa and Nao in Even a Replica Can Fall in Love.
She joins a previously announced voice cast that consist of:
- • Atsumi Tanezaki as Rita
- • Kentaro Kumagai as Doug
- • Hitomi Owada as Hana
- • Satoshi Hino as Luke
- • Mariya Ise as Silvia
- • Tetsu Inada as Gordon
- • Mirei Kumagai as Mac
Shinsuke Gomi is directing the anime series, with Junko Yamanaka (Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life) as the character designer. Sunrise and Felix Film are handling the animation production.
An anime adaptation of the manga was first announced in October 2025.
You Chiba’s action romantic comedy web manga series began serialization on Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump+ app on September 15, 2022. Eighteen tankobon volumes have been published in Japan as of August 2026. The series received an honorable mention at the 3rd LINE Manga Taisho.
Yen Press licensed the Kindergarten Wars manga for English release, describing the synopsis as:
Rita is Convict No. 999, a former legendary assassin who now works at a kindergarten for the children of the world’s most powerful people. Her job is to protect the kids from the clutches of would-be assassins! But even with her overwhelming strength, Rita has one fatal flaw—she falls head over heels for good-looking men, even if they’re her enemies! Can she find the hottie soulmate of her dreams amid the chaos at the “world’s safest kindergarten”?
