A key visual for the TV anime adaptation of the The Shy Snow Woman and the Cursed Ring (Hitotsukiai ga Nigate na Mibojin no Yuki-onna-san to Noroi no Yubiwa) adult dojin has been released. An October 2026 broadcast start window was revealed with it.
Production credits and cast details for the anime (which has the English title The Lonely Snow Widow and the Cursed Ring in Japan) were also announced. Among the former are Kazuomi Koga (Rent-A-Girlfriend Seasons 1, 2, 4, and 5) as director, Minakyawaakapiv (Guilty Hole ～ Room of Guilty Pleasure) as character designer, and studio HoKIBOSHI as the animation production studio. On the cast side, there’s Ricca Kitami as Mifuyu Yukino, Harumichi Shito as Satoru Takahashi, and Sara Ayumi as Kaede Kiryuin.
An official comment from Koga mentions that the anime is a very adult experience like the source material, at least for the streaming version.
The Shy Snow Woman and the Cursed Ring dojin series by Puuzaki Puuna began in 2021. Irodori Comics publishes it in English with this synopsis for the first volume:
The landlord finds a ring that can control yokai and proceeds to use it on a beautiful snow woman living in one of the apartments!
