The opening animation for False Memory (Jiyi Guanli Ju) has been revealed, just days ahead of the Chinese animated series’ August 2 debut on Bilibili.
The sequence, which features eye-catching colors and a textured feel, was produced by 22F STUDIO and directed by Jiali Tan. The opening song is DOUDOU‘s “Wangji Le Ye Meiguanxi.”
False Memory is directed and created by Shuyu Li and BlackLine, with Flint Sugar and Studio Tumble as the animation production studios. The synopsis (via Google’s translation) reads:
Guan Chao, in his quest to return to the past, searches for the energy source “Burning Stone” to activate the Time Gun, but unexpectedly falls into the Memory Management Bureau. To return to reality, Guan Chao, along with Fang Tang, Bai Chong, and other memory administrators, works to recover the “bugged” individuals from each layer of memory. The series’ premiere will feature its first three episodes. There was previously a concept trailer and an 18-minute short.
