Crunchyroll has announced that it will stream the upcoming Romelia War Chronicle TV anime series when it premieres in 2026. The anime will be a two cour series.
The company confirmed that the anime will be simulcast in the following territories: North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.

The announcement comes ahead of Crunchyroll’s upcoming appearance at Otakon 2026, where it will host a world premiere for the anime series on July 31, 2026 at 2:45 PM EST to 4:15 PM EST in the Panel 2 room. There will also be a behind-the-scenes showcase of the adaptation featuring voice actress Yuna Nemoto, original light novel author Ryo Ariyama, producer Yuki Watanabe, and editor Hiroyuki Hamada.

Hiroshi Shirai (Wish Upon the Pleiades 3D director) is credited as director for the anime series, with Takahiro Hirata as assistant director, Aya Satsuki (Solo Camping for Two) as series composer and screenwriter, Yoshiko Saito (Farming Life in Another World) and Yuta Otaka as character designers, and Kohta Yamamoto (Tougen Anki, Chained Soldier) as music composer. Atra is in charge of the animation production.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast will star:

- • Sayaka Sembongi as Elisabeth

The fantasy light novel series is written by Ariyama and illustrated by Kodama. It was first published under Shogakukan’s Gagaga Books imprint on June 19, 2020 and ended on November 18, 2025. Seven total volumes have been published as of November 2025, comprising six main volumes and a side story volume. The series originally began as a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in August 2019.
A manga adaptation by Ryo Kamito began publication in April 2021. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga for English release under the title Romelia War Chronicle: Even After Defeating the Demon King, Humanity Still Seems Doomed, So I Formed a Military Force.

Crunchyroll describes the main synopsis of Romelia War Chronicle as:
Romelia and her party succeed in defeating the Demon King Zelgis, though Prince Henri’s reckless charge forces them into a grueling battle. In the aftermath, Romelia is branded “dead weight” for not fighting directly, and the Prince unilaterally breaks off their engagement. Denied a place in the victory celebrations, Romelia returns home, only to be met with cold indifference from her family and society. Yet, she refuses to break. She has already set her sights on the path that lies ahead.
