A new update for the previously announced fourth season of the KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! TV anime reveals that the show will debut next year. An ultra teaser visual was also released, along with some production credits.
KonoSuba Season 4 will be an ENGI production with Manabu Kurihara as director. Returning from Season 3 are chief director Takaomi Kanasaki (director of Seasons 1 and 2, Legend of Crimson), character designer Koichi Kikuta (since Season 1) and series composer Makoto Uezu (since Season 1).
In addition to the Season 4-related reveals, there is a 10th anniversary promotional video for the KonoSuba anime series.
An adaptation of the light novel series written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima, KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World follows the misadventures of Kazuma after he is reincarnated into a fantasy world. After dragging the questionable goddess who gave him his second shot at life with him, Kazuma eventually forms a party with the said goddess, a masochistic crusader, and an explosion-obsessed mage.
The first season of the isekai comedy debuted in 2016. It was followed by a second season, the KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World Legend of Crimson movie, a TV anime adaptation of the Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! spin-off, and a third season. The latest anime instalment was 2025’s two-episode KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! 3 -Bonus Stage- OVA.
Studio Deen produced the first two seasons, while KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World Legend of Crimson was a J.C.STAFF production. Season 3 and Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! were Drive productions.
The light novel series, which is published under the KADOKAWA Sneaker Bunko label, debuted in 2013 and released its 17th and final main volume in 2020. There is a manga adaptation by Masahito Watari and several spin-offs. Yen Press has the light novels in English.
The KonoSuba franchise began with a Shosetsuka ni Naro web novel in 2012.
