An animated music video for “Fade into Blue,” a new song from music producer Aiobahn featuring the vocals of voice actor Kana Hanazawa (Monogatari Series’ Nadeko Sengoku, Kaiju No. 8‘s Rin Shinonome), has been released on YouTube.
rhythmos’ Akari Maru directed the animation, which features a primarily blue color palette as its main character visits surreal landscapes before coming to rest in a giant pair of human hands. Maru’s page on the Eizo Sakka 100-nin website explains that the video expresses the feeling of being unable to assume the same form as one’s surroundings due to subtle differences in condition, and that its main character is a drifting entity who is unable to turn into a snowflake. The blue is not just meant to represent sadness, but also the coldness of rain, light, wetness, and transparency.
Maru also handled the animation alongside fellow rhythmos member Kana Fukudome. Mutsuki Kawano is credited with architect & modeling.
Aiobahn was one of the music composers of the Spring 2026 anime NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE, under the Aiobahn +81 name.
