Sleepover Visual Novel to Bring “Cosmic Horror” Story About The Last 2 Humans on Earth to Steam in 2027 featured image

Last week saw the announcement of visual novel Sleepover, a “post-apocalyptic cosmic horror” tale in which a girl called Yuna becomes the last human on Earth after everyone vanishes… until the mysterious Fermi shows up at her doorstep. The game will be out on Steam in Q3 2027 and is being developed by ChimpWampus, with Neverland Entertainment publishing.

Sleepover is seeking to deliver a “a profound and psychologically impactful horror experience” that guides players “into a deep exploration of its themes while highlighting the transformative power of human connection.” Yuna is described as “Terrified, anxious, and burdened with guilt,” and the store page warns of depictions of depression, anxiety, and suicide.

Players will be able to explore Yuna’s apartment and interact with objects to uncover details about the character and her past. There’s a particular room that the store page description and press release advise against entering, however.

Neverland Entertainment has released an announcement trailer for Sleepover, with the contents indicating varied but consistently disconcerting visuals to go along with the story.

Here’s the visual novel:’s Steam short description:

Sleepover is a cosmic horror visual-novel about the last two humans alive. After the entire population of Earth mysteriously vanishes, the sole survivor, Yuna, struggles to find meaning in an empty world. After a mysterious girl appears at her front door, the two begin their final night together.
