VIZ Media and artist/illustrator Acky Bright are collaborating with MLB Players, Inc. and OneTeam Partners on an original sci-fi baseball manga series titled GalaXic Baseball League. The original manga, created through Bright’s BW NYC Studios, will begin digital serialization on the VIZ Manga app on July 2, 2026 and a print release of the first volume will follow in October 2026.
A teaser trailer for the series has been released, along with the launch of its official website.

VIZ Media describes the main synopsis of GalaXic Baseball League:
In the distant future, baseball has rocketed into the cosmos. What was once America’s pastime is now a high-stakes interplanetary competition in which teams from every corner of the universe battle for glory. Amid a sinister plot to wreak havoc on the galaxy, legendary baseball players team up with two unlikely heroes in their quest to save Earth – and the heart and soul of baseball.
Acky Bright was previously the lead designer in McDonald’s “WcDonald’s” anime-inspired marketing campaign and has hosted solo exhibitions and several showcases at The Japan Society in New York City and Anime Expo, among others.
