The new release will have “Refined battle mechanics” and new additions to the roster.

FRENCH-BREAD is returning to develop Melty-Blood: Twi-Lumina. Aniplex is publishing the game.

The Melty Blood series has been around since 2002, debuting two years after TYPE-MOON‘s Tsukihime visual novel, which it spun off from. Type Lumina is based off the more recent Tsukihime –A piece of blue glass moon-, a remake of some of Tsukihime‘s routes that was released the same year as Type Lumina, in 2021.

Len was a key part of 2001’s Tsukihime fandisk Kagetsu Toya. She become a playable character in the Melty Blood series for the first time in 2004’s Melty Blood: Re-ACT, an expansion for the original Melty Blood.

One of Melty Blood: Type Lumina‘s playable characters, Aoko Aozaki, will appear in Japanese theaters this year with the upcoming anime film adaptation of Witch on the Holy Night, which is set before Tsukihime. The next part of the Tsukihime remake, Tsukihime -The other side of red garden-, was teased in A piece of blue glass moon-.

Update: Updated the descriptions of Melty Blood’s relationship with Tsukihime.
