The My Hero Academia anime series debuted in 2016, with My Hero Academia Final Season (the eighth season) airing during the Fall 2025 anime season. The manga by Kohei Horikoshi was serialized n Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from 2014 to 2024. Viz Media describes the manga as such:
Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny.
Aside from the TV anime, there are four My Hero Academia anime movies and two seasons of the My Hero Academia: Vigilantes spin-off. Outside of anime, there are video games and an upcoming Hollywood live-action movie.
A My Hero Academia concert tour will kick off in Europe and the United States in September.
