An English-subtitled trailer and poster visual have been revealed for Ryuya Suzuki’s Jinsei anime film, which will first be released in New York theaters on June 5, 2026, followed by a nationwide U.S. release on June 12, 2026. Greenwich Entertainment is disturbing the anime film after acquiring its North American rights earlier this March.
Jinsei, known in Japanese as Mumei no Jinsei, was released in Japan on May 16, 2025. Suzuki directed the self-produced anime film and is also credited as the animation director, background art director, compositing director, color designer, character designer, music, and editor.

Kenji Iwaisawa was Jinsei’s producer, having previously served as scriptwriter, storyboard artist, character designer, animation director, and background art director for his own anime film, On-Gaku: Our Sound.
Japanese rapper ACE COOL voices the unnamed lead character. Other voice cast members include:
- • Taketo Tanaka as Kin
- • Shohei Uno as Hiroshi
- • Remi Tyon as Hime
- • Ryotaro Nishino as Smile
- • Katsuya Maiguma as Yamato
- • Kanji Tsuda as Shiratori

Jinsei held a crowdfunding campaign on CAMPFIRE, raising a total of 1,702,000 yen (US$11,320) out of its 1,500,000 yen goal between December 30, 2022 to March 19, 2023.
The anime film had its world premiere during the Feature Films Contrechamp section of the 2025 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. It then debuted in North America at the 24th New York Asian Film Festival on July 25, 2025.
Suzuki’s previous short animations have won awards such as the 9th New Chitose Airport International Animation Festival’s Japan Grand Prix for Lawless Love.

Greenwich Entertainment describes the main premise of Jinsei as:
Our hero (voiced by rapper ACE COOL), called by a different name in each chapter of his life, becomes a J-pop idol, an outcast, a leader, and an oracle in this hundred-year chronicle spanning the past, present, and future. Through a chance encounter with a transfer student, he trains to become an idol, starting his search for self-identity and a journey toward greatness beyond superstardom.
