The SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table TV anime, which aired as part of the Winter 2026 anime season, is getting a follow-up centered on the Cloudy Beach game (protagonist Yuki’s 44th game) this July. The announcement says the new anime will be screened theatrically for two weeks starting July 10 (JST).
A teaser trailer and teaser visual were released, along with illustrations from the light novels’ illustrator and the manga’s artist.

SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table made its broadcast debut on January 7 with an extended-length first episode. It adapts the MF Bunko J light novel series written by Yushi Ukai and illustrated by Nekometaru. Yen Press describes the books’ synopsis as such:
Yuki wakes up to find herself in an unfamiliar manor, wearing a maid uniform and lying on a luxurious bed. Soon, she discovers five more girls, all dressed the same as her. This is the Ghost House, and the only way they can survive is to make it through the traps that lie in wait-deadly games full of blowguns, buzz saws, locked rooms, and weapons. It’s a hopeless, terrifying situation for everyone there…well, everyone except Yuki. After all, this is her career at seventeen. Do you think that’s odd? She would agree. But that’s how some people are-they earn their living playing death games.
The light novel series, which placed first in the New Work category of the This Light Novel is Amazing! 2024 ranking, began in November 2022 and has nine volumes as of January 2026. There is a manga by Banzai Kotobuki Dai Enkai.
