The Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers TV anime series’ 2nd cour will premiere in July. The announcement was made on the series’ official X/Twitter account after the 12th episode aired. A new trailer has been released alongside the announcement.
In celebration of the announcement of the 2nd cour premiere, a special illustration by the series’s character designer, Yuhei Murota, was also released.
Furthermore, the new cast members for the original Samurai Troopers have also been revealed.

Nozomu and Nishimura are reprising their roles from the original Yoroi Den Samurai Trooper for the new series. Okaiyu and Hirofumi are replacing Daiki Nakamura and Hiroshi Takemura, the original voices for Seiji and Toma. The new cast members debuted in the 12th episode.
Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers is a sequel to the 1980s Yoroi Den Samurai Troopers series (also known as Ronin Warriors in English). The series is split into two cours with the first cours premiering on January 6. The premise of the series is that after the seal to the demon world is broken and demons invade Earth, five young samurai warriors come together to save humanity.
The original Yoroi Den Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors) was created by Hajime Yatate and animated by Sunrise. It ran from 1988 to 1999 and has inspired several OVAs and a manga adaptation. Prime Video is streaming the original series and describes it as:
After a thousand years of exile, Talpa, ruler of the Netherworld, returns to claim the Earth as his own. The only thing that can stop him and his minions are five young men and their mystical suits of armor.
