The Pokémon Company has released a new trailer and an opening movie for one of its new and upcoming games, Pokémon Champions. The game is set to release for mobile and Switch systems in April 2026.

The trailer was released during Pokémon Presents on February 27.

The opening movie was released on the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel.

Furthermore, the official Pokémon Bureau has introduced the characters that will appear in the game, along with their visuals.

It was also announced that players can receive Dragonite with its Mega Stone as an early download bonus. Fans can also bring in Pokémon such as Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, and Eternal Flower Floette from Pokémon Legends: Z-A through Pokémon HOME.

The video has also announced news from other games, such as upcoming events for their mobile games, Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon Master EX, Pokémon Go, and Pokémon Cafe, new Pokémon that will be released for Pokémon Unite, more information about the upcoming game Pokémon PokéPia, and the new game for the main series: Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves. The franchise is celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Pokémon Day is a day observed by fans worldwide in celebration of Pokémon since Pokémon Red and Green were released in Japan in 1996.

​Since the games’ first release, Pokémon has grown into a multimedia franchise that includes games, TCG, anime series, films, and manga. The franchise has 123 known games, including the recent Pokémon Legends: Z-A and two anime series, including the currently running series, Pokémon Horizons.
