A teaser visual for the upcoming Isshiki-san wa Koi o Shiritai TV anime has been unveiled.
A Valentine’s-themed first seasonal visual and main staff details were also revealed. The latter are director Kazuya Komai (Akine no Konai Kaikin hi, Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad and Texhnolyze Episode 15 storyboard artist and director), series composer Deko Akao (May I Ask for One Final Thing?), and character designer Shohei Hamaguchi (Glamorous Heroes).
Sakura Create is the animation production studio.
Isshiki-san wa Koi o Shiritai is based on Ayune Araragi‘s manga, a pseudo-couple story involving a respected inspector who’s serious and smart (the titular Isshiki) and a detective. The manga began serialization in 2020 in KADOKAWA’s Monthly Shonen Ace and has nine volumes as of October 2025.
Isshiki-san wa Koi o Shiritai was initially named Rinna-keibu wa Kokyu ga Dekinai for its first two chapters.
