A TV anime adaptation of the Are You A Jirai Girl, Chihara-san? manga has been announced. It’ll premiere sometime in 2026, but you can get acquainted with the titular landmine girl Chihara right now with the anime’s teaser visual.
Sayumi Suzushiro is voicing Chihara, while the male protagonist Kuroki is played by Kazuki Ura.
On the production side, Yasuaki Fujii (Re:ZERO Season 3 Episode 10 storyboard artist and director) is directing the anime at Synergy SP, with Keiichiro Ochi (The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten) as series composer, and Majiro (UniteUp! -Uni:Birth) as character designer.
The Are You A Jirai Girl, Chihara-san? (Jirai Nandesuka? Chihara-san) manga by Ryon has been serialized on Comics Mart’s GANMA! since 2021 and has seven volumes as of June 2025. The premise sees Kuroki sitting next to Chihara, who is rumored to be a jirai-kei/walking landmine, during the new school term.
