The Gachiakuta manga series is getting a stage play adaptation in 2026. The announcement was made during Jump Festa 2026, where they also released a trailer and key visual.
The main cast were also revealed. The cast are:

The play will be performed in Tokyo and Kyoto from May 22, 2026, to June 7, 2026. The Tokyo performances will be held at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel from May 22nd to May 31st. The Kyoto performances will be held at the ROHM Theater Kyoto from June 5 to June 7.
Go Ueki (Attack on Titan: The Musical) will be directing the play with Watashiomu (PSHYCO-PAAA Virtue and Vice 3) in charge of the screenplay. KEN THE 390 (Hypnosis Mic – Division Rap Battle – Rule the Stage-) will be in charge of the music alongside YOSHIZUMI (Musical Touken Ranbu) and Tanaka Mush.
Applications to participate in the lottery for tickets are currently open and will be open until January 18, 2026, 23:59 Japan Time.
Gachiakuta is an action manga written by Kei Urana, who works together with graffiti artist Hideyoshi Ando. It started serializing in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in February 2022 and, as of December 2025, has released 17 manga volumes. It inspired an anime adaptation and an upcoming game, Gachiakuta: The Game.
Kodansha USA is publishing the manga in English while Crunchyroll is streaming the first season of the Gachiakuta TV anime series. Crunchyroll describes the series as:
In a floating city where the rich discard their waste—and people—Rudo is framed for murder and thrown into the Pit, where a hellscape of mutated trash beasts dwell.
